are electric rc cars faster than gas powered rc cars?

I’ve been watching videos on youtube of rc cars racing real cars and I see mostly electric rc cars im curious because i think gas powered rc cars are faster than electric ones

You can make either an electric or gas powered car basically as fast as you want, by just putting in a bigger motor/engine.

However, electric vehicles accelerate faster than gas vehicles because electric motors provide full torque immediately, while gas engines have to revv up.

    Electric cars are slower. THere is not enought electricity to power a car at great speeds.
