Honda’s Hydrogen Powered Sports Car
Green was the theme at the LA Auto Show as car manufacturers revealed a whole new line of hybrid, electric, and fuel efficient new cars… but none of them were as stylish as Hondas’s FC Sport Concept Car. The futuristic sports car is a hydrogen powered, zero emission fuel cell supercar. The three seater is lightweight with a low center of gravity and features a powerful electric motor that helps it deliver supercar performance. The eye catching, futuristic design of the car is meant to excite fans of sports cars, not just eco friendly motorists, and its a glimpse at what car design might look like in a post gas engine world. Honda’s FC Sport is only a concept car, and there are currently no plans to enter this zero emission design study model into actual production anytime soon. But the fact that Honda could imagine such a fast, sexy, and green zero emissions hydrogen vehicle means it shouldn’t be long before all the major car companies start building similar vehicles. Tesla, Fisker and even Dodge are actually *producing* electric sports cars. The failures at Honda are just playing the concept car game. They could very well produce this car, but they just felt like blowing a bunch of money on a car they never planned to produce. What a waste.

Johny….i am not sure even where to begin with where you went wrong, but here it goes. Hydrogen is not a naturally nuclear substance. WE did that to hydrogen. So sorry to disappoint but that means no big chain reaction for the pyros. second most of these cars are made to run on WATER. run electricity through water and it will seperate into H2 and O. So unless water can kill you it would be a very small accident in the back of the car if any. Forget how combustible gas is? thus the engine’s name

Ideally, atomic, nuclear or plotnium fuel could provide life-long power to cars, which could be economical as well clean never mind speed. However, there are too many psyhopaths who would use the car for wrong reasons…Alteast I supposed powering electric highways through nuclear plants could be good idea and fuel waste could be dumped in space towards jupiter or mars…

Last thing we want is a hydrogen powered car. Amount of money it would take to build the infrastructure for H gas is Obscene when you consider we already have the infrastructure for the Electric Car in place right now!
The all-electric Tesla Roadster does 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds, it’s available now, unlike this prototype & also has zero emissions.
No H bomb on board like this energy wasting envirofailure!

I thought I would be in a flying car by now man but hey this atrophy is even going on in the health care system. I have heard of 3 new and amazing cancer breakthroughs on average each year for the last 2 decades but I don’t see one available today!
Technology was blossoming in the early 1900’s & the future looked Awesome! Powers that be wanted to get a cut of the profits & we haven’t moved forward in 90 years IMHO. My car is the same as it was 20 yrs ago but withMP3!

@captcaveman—i kno wot u mean ive heard of soo many companies creating “concepts” tht run on hydrogen and hav a 0 emisions rating, and yes it makes me a lil sick thinking, just why rnt u doing anything 4 real thn??? the only problem i think they have atm is how efficient it is 2 turn water in2 compressed hydrogen, if it takes more energy or the same energy as it release thn theres no point, but if they hav cracked this thn its just insane
