RC Nitro Thunder Tiger Tomahawk 1st proper run
1st proper run of my new thunder tiger tomahawk after running the engine in, Morrisons car park Bramley, Rotherham. This is my 1st nitro car, has a 3cc nitro engine & can reach speeds of 45mph, basically it is the most fun i’ve had since having electric rc’s as a kid.

i had major trouble …
i had major trouble with starting the engine at first, as the fuel pipe wasn’t tightened on properly, then when i ran the car the 2 left wheels fell off as they erre’nt tightened up properly, thethrottle arm nut came loose & the exhaust was spraying out oil from near the engine due to……you guessed it, it wasn’t tightened up. i wish i’d bought a d.i.y.kit but it’s running fine now.

yeah, things arent …
yeah, things arent that good when it starts to overheat due to being too lean… Mabye when you have used for a few months. I keep a few spare sleeve/piston/crankshaft sets alongside! I fitted a cooling fan to the cooling head, but that’s only when I run it really lean, I try not to do that too often because, i have gone through my first spare set so far and don’t want to keep wasting money on engine parts! I will put on some videos of mine soon, mabye when i get a micro onboard cam for it!

i might do but i …
i might do but i heard that tuning the engine to full power will cause more damage to the engine over time due to less lubrication so i’m being careful at the min. it is tempting though….
September 13th, 2009 at 2:56 am
you ought to lean …
you ought to lean the fuel mixture in the engine a couple of turns and you will get tons more power!
